BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 27. Uzbekistan has manufactured some 114 buses from January through February 2023, Trend reports via Uzbekistan’s State Statistics Committee.
The production of buses has increased by 67.6 percent, compared to the figure for the first two months of 2022 (68 buses).
During the reporting period, the country’s industrial enterprises manufactured products worth 72.8 trillion soums ($6.3 billion), increasing by 9.1 percent, compared to the same period in 2022 (66.7 trillion soums, or $5.8 billion).
From January through February 2023, besides buses, Uzbekistan produced cars (23,949), automobile engines (21,402), trucks (350), tractors (7), lead batteries (190,800), refrigerators (65,200), as well as some 1,536 tons of paints and polishes based on acrylic or vinyl polymers in an aqueous medium, some 890,600 tons of Portland cement, 110,700 tons of diesel fuel, etc.
In 2022, Uzbekistan produced some 1,357 buses, which is an increase of 35.2 percent year-on-year (1,003 buses in 2021).
At the same time, in 2022, Uzbek enterprises manufactured industrial products worth 551.1 trillion soums ($48.4 billion), which is 5.2 percent more than in 2021.
