BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 4. Uzbekistan has imported some 5,026 cars worth $134.2 million from January through February 2023, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
The import of passenger cars has decreased by 15.5 percent, compared to the figure for the first two months in 2022 (5,948 cars).
During the reporting period, Uzbekistan imported the most cars from China (2,540), followed by South Korea, the US, Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, and the UAE.

Furthermore, during the first two months of 2023, Uzbekistan also imported some 786 electric vehicles worth $26.8 million, increasing by almost 3.5 times, compared to the same period in 2022 (228 cars).
Uzbekistan's overall trade turnover in the reporting period amounted to $8.9 billion – an increase of 2 percent or $176.4 million, compared to the same period last year ($8.7 billion).
