BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 20. Uzbekistan’s large enterprises have manufactured some 200 buses during the first quarter of 2023, Trend reports via Uzbekistan’s State Statistics Committee.
The country’s output of buses has increased by 55.03 percent, compared to what was produced in 3M2022 (129 buses).
Uzbekistan is known as a country with a developing industrial sector. In the reporting period, besides buses, the country produced some 557 trucks, some 44,195 vehicle engines, 18 tractors, 293,300 lead batteries, and 114,400 refrigerators.
Furthermore, from January through March 2023, the large enterprises of the country decreased by 35.9 percent in the production of trucks, from 870 in the same of 2022 down to 557 trucks.
Overall, during the first three months of 2023, Uzbekistan manufactured industrial products worth 131 trillion soums ($11.5 billion), which is an increase of 14.9 percent year-on-year.
Back in 2022, Uzbekistan’s statistics also indicated positive dynamics in bus output –1,357, increasing by 35.2 percent year-on-year (1,003 buses in 2021).
