BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. The value of mutual trade between Uzbekistan and Türkiye reached $821.4 million from January through March 2023, Trend reports via Uzbekistan’s State Statistics Committee.
The statistics say that trade turnover between countries increased by 6.2 percent or $48 million, compared to the same period in 2022 ($773.4 million).
Exports from Uzbekistan to Türkiye in the reporting period made up $361.8 million, decreasing by 5.03 percent, compared to the figure for the first quarter of 2022 ($381 million).
At the same time, Uzbekistan imported from Türkiye products and services worth $459.6 million. This figure has increased by 17.1 percent, compared to the same period in 2022 ($392.4 million).
During the reporting period, Türkiye imported from Uzbekistan some 2,900 tons of fruit and vegetables worth $3.7 million, textile products worth $129 million, etc.
It should be noted that Türkiye ranked second among the countries that purchased the most textile products from Uzbekistan.
Meanwhile, in 2022, Türkiye's trade turnover with Uzbekistan reached $3.2 billion, which is a decrease of 5.4 percent, compared to the figure for 2021 ($3.4 billion).
