Uzbekistan's output of jet fuel triples

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 8. The large enterprises of Uzbekistan produced some 72,300 tons of jet fuel from January through March 2023, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.

The output of jet fuel increased by 3 times, compared to what was produced during the reporting period in 2022.

The statistics say that the largest amount of jet fuel the country’s large enterprises manufactured in March 2023 –was 39,600 tons.

Back in 2022, Uzbekistan GTL, the first and only plant in Uzbekistan for the production of synthetic liquid fuel, started to produce synthetic jet fuel, which is aimed at reducing emissions.

Furthermore, from January through March 2023, Uzbekistan also increased the output of gasoline by 33.5 percent, from 288,600 tons up to 385,300 tons.

At the same time, the large enterprises of Uzbekistan produced some 206,800 tons of diesel fuel, which is an increase of 45.9 percent, compared to the same period in 2022 – 141,700 tons.
