BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 16. The first session of the "Technology Commercialization and Implementation of Innovative Projects" educational program, backed by the World Bank, was held at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of Uzbekistan, Trend reports.

The WB supports the innovative policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan by financing this project. The project aims to modernize the national innovation system, enhance the competitiveness of national goods and services in the global market, diversify the economy effectively, and improve the living standards of the people.

The main goal of the program is to reveal the essence of innovation opportunities to program participants, provide free practical assistance in the formation of international skills in project development, commercialization of scientific results, and developments.

The MUNIS project consists of three key components. The first one supports the improvement of the quality and relevance of R&D, as well as the modernization of research institutes through special competitive funding programs.

The second component promotes sustainable innovation and collaboration between industry and science through joint financing of innovations, local supplier development programs, and selective improvement of the national quality infrastructure.

The third component provides technical assistance to support the development, implementation, and integration of pilot mechanisms into the main set of instruments of state policy.
