TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 31. Toyota Motors Corporation is going to introduce a new model of Toyota cars to the automotive market in Uzbekistan in the near future, Trend reports.
According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tokyo, this was noted by Akitoshi Takemura, General Director of Toyota Motors Corporation for the East Asia, Oceania, and Middle East region during his meeting with Jamshid Kuchkarov, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan.
The discussion was called to examine the many chances for international entrepreneurs to run successful enterprises in Uzbekistan. Recognizing the country's strong demand for Toyota vehicles, the opportunities for future partnership were highlighted.
In 2022, the trade turnover between the countries totaled 43.38 billion yen ($305.5 million). Exports from Japan to Uzbekistan reached approximately 36.39 billion yen ($256.4 million) in 2022, while imports from Uzbekistan totaled 7 billion yen ($49.3 million). The main exported items include machinery, motor vehicles, electrical machines, and other manufactured goods, while the primary imported products are machinery, fertilizers, fruits, and vegetables.
