TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 12. The Uzbekistan GTL plant will export synthetic diesel in the premium category to Europe and other foreign countries, Trend reports.
Uzbekistan's GTL (gas-to-liquid) plant plans to produce more than 1 million tons of environmentally friendly, high-quality synthetic liquid fuel of the Euro-6 category, fully conforming to national and international standards by the end of 2023. Of them, 100,000 tons of synthetic diesel fuel are planned to be exported to Europe and other foreign countries from September through December 2023. The first batch of synthetic diesel fuel was loaded from the Uzbekistan GTL plant and sent for export to Europe via Georgia on September 11 without any restrictions.
The production facilities of the plant are able to fully meet the needs of the domestic market for high-quality diesel fuel. The products of Uzbekistan GTL are displayed daily on the trading platforms of UzRTSB JSC for the domestic market.
As of July 2023, the starting price of one ton of synthetic diesel fuel sold through the Republican Commodity Exchange has been reduced from 10,116,972 Uzbek soums ($872.49) to 9,499,953.08 Uzbek soums ($819.28). At the same time, the price of semi-synthetic diesel fuel at Uzbekneftegaz JSC was reduced from 13,488,974 Uzbek soums ($1,163.29) to 11,673,687 Uzbek soums ($1,006.74) per ton.
