TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 29. Uzbekistan's trade turnover with the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) reached $10.2 billion from January through August 2023, Trend reports.
The countries of the Eurasian Economic Union account for 25.4 percent of the total foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan.
Bilateral trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia reached $6.16 billion. Exports to Russia stood at $1.9 billion, while imports from Russia amounted to $4.1 billion.
Furthermore, Uzbekistan's trade with Kazakhstan amounted to $2.8 billion. The country exported goods worth $651 million to Kazakhstan, while the volume of imported goods reached $1.9 billion.
Uzbekistan’s trade turnover with Kyrgyzstan amounted to $679 million from January through August 2023. Uzbekistan's exports equaled $492 million, and its imports from Kyrgyzstan were $188 million.
Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Belarus amounted to $402 million, with the volume of exported goods fixed at $94 million to Belarus and imported goods at $309 million from the country.
In 2022, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) reached $15.7 billion, which is an increase of 22.7 percent compared to the 2021 calculations. Exports from Uzbekistan to the EAEU countries in 2022 amounted to $5.5 billion, while imports were $10.1 billion.
