BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 2. Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Germany amounted to 613 million euros from January through July 2023, which is a decrease of 12 percent compared to the same period of 2022 (697.9 million euros), a source at Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, told Trend.
Uzbekistan’s imports from Germany amounted to 580.6 million euros, which is a decrease of more than 11 percent, compared to the figure for the first seven months of 2022 (654.6 million euros).
At the same time, the exports from Uzbekistan to Germany decreased by 26 percent and amounted to 32.4 million euros over 43.9 million euros from January through July 2022.
The overall trade exchange between Uzbekistan and EU member states reached a total of more than 2.95 billion euros from January through July 2023.
In 2022, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Germany amounted to 1.1 billion euros, increasing by 51.4 percent, compared to the figure for 2021 ($765.7 million euros).
The overall trade turnover between Uzbekistan and the EU countries reached 4.61 billion euros last year, which is 41 percent more than in 2021, when it amounted to 2.77 billion euros.
