TASHKEN, Uzbekistan, October 7. The total value of the business agreement signed between Uzbekistan and Russia during the third Interregional Cooperation Forum in Russia’s Kazan amounted to $3.5 billion, Trend reports.
Among the commercial agreements, a memorandum was inked between the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan and the Russian Wildberries marketplace, signifying a partnership in the realm of online commerce. Additionally, a memorandum of understanding was forged between the administration of the Tashkent region and a marketplace, focusing on cooperation in the construction of a multimodal logistics center in the Tashkent region.
The forum also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Tashkent administration and the Russian HMS Group company, marking a commitment to exchange technical and technological expertise in water supply and sanitation.
Further reinforcing international collaboration, an agreement was established between Tashkent Metro and TMH International, with Russia supplying subway cars to Uzbekistan.
Meanwhile, on October 5, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev set off on a working visit to Russia, which is scheduled to last until October 7, 2023.
In accordance with the program of the visit, the president of Uzbekistan visited Kazan and got acquainted with its industrial potential, as well as held a meeting with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
