TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 6. Representatives of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and Korfez Chamber of Commerce of Türkiye have discussed a number of issues aimed at bolstering trade relations between the two countries, Trend reports.

During the talks, First Deputy Chairman of the Uzbek Chamber of Commerce Islam Massimov put forward a proposal on the possibility of investing in the industrial sectors of Uzbekistan.

Furthermore, the parties discussed the possibility of increasing the supply of metal and agricultural products from Uzbekistan to Türkiye.

The conference resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of partnership for the promotion of mutually beneficial partnership.

It was also decided to plan a visit by a delegation of Uzbek businessmen to the Korfez area of Türkiye Kocaeli province in order to enhance and develop commercial and economic links between the two nations.

Meanwhile, both countries have been working to improve trade partnership by streamlining road cargo transportation, integrating digital technologies, and introducing the e-Permit digital permit exchange program.

Statistical analysis reveals that, as of September 2023, over 710,000 tons of diverse cargo have been successfully transported by road between the two countries, marking an increase of 32.8 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
