TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 14. Uzbekistan and German Wehrhahn GmbH company, specializing in designing and production of autoclaves aerated concrete equipment, agreed on the local production of industrial machinery in Uzbek region of Namangan, Trend reports.
The news followed a meeting between the administration of the Namangan region headed by Shavkatjon Abdurazakov and the representatives of a number of German companies.
The cost of the discussed project is estimated at 40 million euros.
Other companies interested in launching new construction projects in Namangan include Vollert Anlagenbau GmbH.
Earlier this month, the issues of investing German companies in the Namangan region were discussed with the Executive director of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, Michael Harms.
Following the talks, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the German-Eurasian Economic Association (DEWIB) have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to strengthen and expand trade and economic relations.
