Uzbekistan names top exported agricultural production for 10M2023

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 29. Grapes, mung beans and peaches emerged the most exported agricultural products of Uzbekistan, from January through October 2023, Trend reports.

As per data by Uzbekistan’s State Statistics Committee, 113,000 tons of grapes worth $74.7 million were shipped to foreign consumers from Uzbekistan at an average price of $0.6 per kilogram.

Mung beans stood second with a total of 89,600 tons valued at $71 million, followed by peaches, accounting for 87,200 tons ($67.2 million).

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's total value of exported fruits and vegetables amounted to $951.3 million from January through October 2023.

Data by Uzbek State Statistics Committee shows that the country successfully exported a total of 1.5 million tons of fruits and vegetables, which is an increase of 2.4 percent, or 35,000 tons, compared to the same period in 2022.

The primary export destinations for these agricultural products included Russia, constituting a substantial portion of the total export value, followed by notable contributions from Pakistan, Kazakhstan, and China.
