TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, December 19. The average cost of renting apartments in Uzbekistan’s capital, Tashkent, reached $9.3 per square meter as of November 2023, Trend reports.
As per data provided by Uzbekistan’s Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR)., the recorded number reflects a 2.1 percent decrease compared to the previous month of 2023.
Overall, through the course of the year, the rate of rent in Uzbekistan fell by 6.1 percent.
The most expensive districts in the capital in November were the following:
Shaikhantakhur: $11.6 per square meter
Yakkasarai: $10.9 per square meter
Mirabad: 11.5 per square meter
The cheapest apartments in the Uzbek capital were spotted in the districts of Uchtepa with $8.1 per square meter and Sergeli with 7.1 per square meter.
As per the latest available data, the average yield of rental housing in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent amounted to 10 percent as of September 2023.
Furthermore, the analysis of the Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) has shown that in August 2023, real estate sales in Uzbek cities increased by 12.8 percent; the number of registered purchase and sale transactions amounted to 28,000, which is almost 3,000 more than in July 2023 and 6 percent more than in August 2022.
The largest growth was recorded in the regions of Namangan (33 percent), Surkhandarya (27 percent), and Samarkand (25 percent).
