TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 15. Uzbekistan’s revenues through payment terminals amounted to 47.5 trillion soums ($3.7 billion) from January through February 2024, Trend reports.
As per data from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, this indicator has increased by 38.8 percent year-on-year (34.2 trillion soums, or $3.01 billion).
Uzbekistan’s Aloqa Bank ranks first with the most revenue volume of 8.3 trillion soums ($655.6 million) during this period, followed by Ipotekabank (3.6 trillion soums or $284.3 million) and Uzbekistan’s National Bank (2.8 trillion soums or $221.1 million).
Smart Bank accounts for the smallest volume of revenues through payment terminals in the country, with 230 million soums ($18,167).
Meanwhile, a total of 430,264 payment terminals were installed in Uzbekistan from January through February 2024. The volume of revenues through payment terminals reached 47.5 trillion soums ($3.7 billion) during this period.
At the same time, the number of installed ATMs and infokiosks in the country totaled 26,917 from January through February 2024, while the number of bank cards in circulation in Uzbekistan amounted to 47.1 million.
