TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 15. The number of POS terminals in Uzbekistan amounted to 430,264 from January through February 2024, Trend reports.
According to the data from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan (CBU), this figure has increased by 0.33 percent year-on-year (428,838 payment terminals).
Uzbekistan’s Xalq Bank, by installing 46,201 POS terminals, has become the leader. Uzbekistan's National Bank ranks second with 40,911 payment terminals, followed by Aqrobank (39,893 POS terminals).
The CBU notes that the smallest number of POS terminals was registered in Uzbekistan’s Yangi Bank – 16, while Avo Bank did not install any payment terminals during this period.
Meanwhile, a total of 430,264 payment terminals were installed in Uzbekistan from January through February 2024. The volume of revenues through payment terminals reached 47.5 trillion soums ($3.7 billion) during this period.
At the same time, the number of installed ATMs and infokiosks in the country totaled 26,917 from January through February 2024, while the number of bank cards in circulation in Uzbekistan amounted to 47.1 million.
