TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, June 3. Uzbekistan’s trade turnover volume with the US amounted to $257.3 million from January through April 2024, Trend reports.
As per data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency, this figure is 31.2 percent more compared to the same period last year ($196.1 million in January–April 2023).
The US ranked eleventh among the countries with the largest volume of foreign trade turnover in Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan's exports to the US totaled $69.4 million, which indicates a 59.5 percent increase over the same period the previous year ($43.5 million in January–April 2023).
The country’s imports from the US reached $187.9 million from January through April 2024. This figure has increased by 23.1 percent year-on-year ($152.6 million in January–April 2023).
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover volume amounted to $20.9 billion from January through April 2024. This is 6 percent more year-on-year ($19.7 billion in January–April 2023).
The largest trade turnover volume was recorded with China ($3.9 billion) during this period. Russia ranks second with a total trade turnover volume of $3.8 billion, followed by Kazakhstan ($1.2 billion).
