TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, June 13. Uzbekistan's volume of exports of industrial goods reached $1.34 billion from January through April 2024, Trend reports.
According to Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, this figure has increased by three percent during the same period last year ($1.3 billion in January–April 2023).
In total, the specific weight of industrial goods in the overall volume of exports reached 15.9 percent.
Exports of industrial goods are mostly composed of textile yarn, textiles, ready-made items ($704.2 million), non-ferrous metals ($447.6 million), iron and steel ($69.9 million), and others.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's volume of exports and services amounted to $4.9 billion (excluding non-monetary gold) from January through April 2024. This figure has increased by 8.8 percent compared to the same period in 2023 ($4.5 billion in January–April 2023).
In the structure of exports, goods account for 80.7 percent, out of which other goods account for 40.4 percent, manufactured goods for 15.9 percent, chemicals and similar products for 5.7 percent, and food products and live animals for 5.6 percent.
