Uzbekistan shares diesel fuel output in 5M2024

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, June 22. Uzbekistan produced 384,400 tons of diesel fuel from January through May 2024, Trend reports.

According to Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, this figure shows a 12.6 percent decrease compared to the same period last year (439,800 tons in January–May 2023).

In addition, diesel fuel production in the country reached 22,500 tons in May 2024, compared to 150,800 tons in April 2024.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan’s trade turnover of mineral fuels, lubricating oils, and similar materials amounted to $2 billion from January through May 2024. This figure has increased by 42.8 percent compared to the same period last year ($1.4 billion in January–May 2023).

The volume of exports of mineral fuels, lubricating oils, and similar materials from Uzbekistan amounted to $344.8 million from January through May 2024, which indicates a 7.2 percent growth year-on-year ($321.5 million in January–May 2023).

Uzbekistan’s imports of mineral fuels, lubricating oils, and similar materials reached $1.7 billion during this period. This figure indicates a 54.5 percent increase over the year ($1.1 billion in January–May 2023).
