TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 18. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov launched major cooperation projects, Trend reports.

According to the Uzbek president's office, the presidents launched a project for the construction of two solar power stations with a total capacity of 400 megawatts in Uzbekistan’s Fergana and Namangan regions. Within the framework of the project, it is planned that the electricity generated at these stations will be supplied to Kyrgyzstan.

Both sides launched a plant for the production of modern passenger cars and commercial vehicles. In particular, cars of the Cobalt, Onyx, and Trekker brands, as well as trucks, will be produced in Uzbekistan.

At the same time, the heads of state also launched production of garments, knitwear, and fabrics in the city of Kara-Balta. Modern technological equipment has been delivered and installed at the enterprise.

Meanwhile, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov has arrived in Uzbekistan on a state visit.

According to the agenda, both sides will hold high-level meetings to discuss issues of further deepening Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations through a comprehensive strategic partnership.

The summit will be followed by the launch of a number of major joint cooperation projects and the signing of a substantial package of bilateral documents.
