TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 12. Uzbekistan's Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade and Sojitz Corporation (Japan) signed the strategic roadmap, the ministry told Trend.
The document was signed during a meeting between the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov and the Chairman and CEO of Sojitz Corporation Masayoshi Fujimoto.
The roadmap lays the groundwork for future collaboration and is geared towards the growth and upgrading of vital sectors in Uzbekistan, such as energy, healthcare, transport, social infrastructure, and industrial production.
The meeting rolled on, with everyone acknowledging that signing the strategic roadmap will turn over a new leaf in the history of Sojitz Corporation. This move will lay the groundwork for a flurry of activity in joint development and the rollout of new projects that will give a boost to the economic growth of Uzbekistan.
Moreover, the ministry underscored Sojitz's hands-on approach to rolling out investment projects in Uzbekistan, particularly in the realms of renewable energy, healthcare,, and transportation.
Noteworthy that, Sojitz Corporation and Qatar’s Nebras Power are willing to invest in the construction of a 1 GW wind power plant under the JCM (Joint Credit Mechanism) in Uzbekistan’s Navoi region.
