Larijani hails nuclear talks with Solana as "constructive"

( Irna ) - Representative of Iran's Supreme Leader at the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani said on Tuesday that talks held by Iranian nuclear team and the EU foreign Policy chief, Javier Solana, were constructive.

Speaking to reporters after the three-hour talks, Larijani said, "We had transparent talks together."

Meanwhile, Solana described his talks with the Iranian nuclear team as "friendly and constructive."

He said that the two sides agreed to continue their talks.

Headed by SNSC's new secretary, Saeed Jalili, the Iranian nuclear team arrived in the Italian capital on Tuesday.

Jalili appreciated efforts of Ali Larijani during his two-year tenure, underlining that he would continue "the appropriate course that Larijani has taken in the past two years."
