Diplomats tell AP Iran stonewalls IAEA probe
( AP ) - Diplomats say that a new attempt by the U.N. nuclear watchdog to probe allegations that Iran tried to make nuclear arms has failed.
The failure will be detailed in a report due soon from Mohamed ElBaradei, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
He was hopeful a month ago, when announcing a new attempt to investigate allegations that Iran has tried to make atomic arms.
But the diplomats told The Associated Press on Tuesday that Iran denies such activities. They demanded anonymity for divulging confidential information.
