In a letter to the Majlis on Saturday President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad named his advisor Sadegh Mahsuli as the candidate to run Interior Ministry. He should wait a confidence vote by the Majlis, TehranTimes reported.

The naming of Mahsuli came as Majlis voted on Tuesday to removed Ali Kordan as interior minister over his fake PhD degree.

Mahsouli was initially named oil minister when the president was first forming his cabinet. However, the Majlis voted against his candidacy.
