Iranian revolutionary guards "arrest Mossad-linked agents"
Iran's Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) recently arrested agents linked to the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, IRGC commander Mohammad-Ali Jafari said Monday, dpa reported.
He told the Khabar news network that the agents worked within a network, seeking classified information on IRGC military sections, nuclear sites and security officials.
He did not elaborate. Further details on the network's activities and members would be disclosed in due time, he said.
Last week an Iranian national, Ali Ashtari, was executed after being found guilty of spying for Mossad.
Israel is not recognised by Iran as a sovereign state. It has been regarded by Tehran as arch foe since the 1979 Islamic revolution.
