Mehdi Karroubi intends to nominate Jamilah Kadivar's candidature to a minister post in the case of his victory in the elections, the Iranian Mehr news agency reported.
"I have promised to use Iranian women's potential during my election campaign. If I am elected the president, I will nominate Jamilah Kadivar's candidature for a minister position," Karroubi said at the Tabriz University on June 8.
Jamilah Kadivar is a Doctor of Political Sciences and was member of the Iranian parliament. Moreover, earlier she was an advisor to ex-President Khatemi. Kadivar is the wife of the Iranian ex-Culture Minister Ataollah Mohajerani.
Kadivar can lead the Culture Ministry, becoming the first woman-minister in Iran after the revolution.
Iran will hold the presidential elections on June 12.
