The value of Tabriz Petrochemical Complex exports in the first 3 months of the current Iranian calendar year (began March 21, 2009) surpassed $19 million, showing a 140% increase in comparison to the same period last year.
SHANA reported some 20,000 tons of petrochemical products have been exported from Tabriz Petrochemical Complex to 13 countries in the mentioned period which shows a 270% increase in comparison to last year's figure.
Turkey, Germany, and Sweden have been the major importers of these products purchasing 5,700 tons, 5,400 tons, and 2,800 tons respectively.
Tabriz Petrochemical Complex is Iran's third largest polymer producer compared to Imam Khomeini and Arak petrochemical complexes.
Eight different petrochemical products of the complex are exported to 38 countries worldwide.
