Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says his country will retaliate with full might against anyone who attacks it.
He says the Iranian "armed forces will cut the hand of anyone in the world before it pulls the trigger against the Iranian nation."
According to the President, the country's military technology was well developed to protect the country.
On Sept. 22, a military parade dedicated to the week "Sacred Defense" began in the major cities of Iran.
The military parade, with the participation of the Head of the General Staff of Armed Forces, General Firuzabadi, Commander in Chief of the National Army, General Ataollah Salehi and Head of Sepah Guards Mohammad Ali Jafari, will demonstrate modern technology of Iran's National Army, Iranian Ilna news agency reported.
Each year, the date of Iraq's attack on Iran is marked as "Sacred Defense" week in this country. On this occasion, military parades are held in Tehran and other cities, demonstrating military equipment.
Official Tel Aviv said on Sept. 21 that the issue of attack on Iran's nuclear facilities is still urgent. The West and Israel say Iran's nuclear program has military goals. In its turn, official Tehran has repeatedly confirmed that its nuclear program is exclusively peaceful.
Iran-Iraq war began on Sept. 22, 1980 after Iraq's attack on the Iranian province of Khuzestan. The war ended on Aug. 20, 1988 with signing the act of reconciliation, which restored the prewar situation.
Iran's Defense Ministry said on Monday that the parade this year will demonstrate military planes, military helicopters, missiles Earth-Earth, Air-Earth, Water-Earth, and will test new military equipment. According to the organizer of the military parade, General Zabihullaha Namur, in addition to the demonstration of missiles Shahab-1, Shahab-2, Shahab-3 and Sijil, the parade will for the first time demonstrate missile defense system.
