The Tehran City Court reported that it received criminal cases on seven more people arrested during the clashes on Ashura Day, Iribnews reported.

The Tehran City Court reported that it received criminal cases on seven more people arrested during the clashes on Ashura Day, Iribnews reported.

The arrested are politcial expert Isa Saharkhiz, Unity Front Party (UFP) Central Council member Davud Suleymani, UFP Deputy Chairman Mrs.Azer Mansuri, journalist Mehdi Mahmoudiyan and Hadi Arab Giubadi, as well as Amir Ali Agayari and Mohammadrza Rajabi. They will stand trial in the Tehran City Court. The trial will be held with participation of the arrested's lawyers.

The date of trial has not been publicized yet.

Opposition supporters and police clashed on Ashura Day Dec. 27 in Tehran.

According to international news agencies, the riots resulted in the deaths of 15 people. Police arrested 550 people. According to the official information, the clashes killed eight people, including one woman, and 300 people arrested. The relevant agencies publicized their names.
