Member of the parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Seyed Ahmad Avaei made the announcement following a meeting between the Commission Chairman, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, and Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri in Beirut, FARS reported.
According to Avaei, Boroujerdi had revealed Ahmadinejad's plans for the visit during the meeting with Berri.
Avaei quoted Boroujerdi as saying in the meeting that all introductory steps and arrangements have been made for Ahmadinejad's upcoming visit to Lebanon.
"During the meeting, various issues, including Gaza were discussed," he added.
Avaei added that the two top legislators also discussed the trade ties between Iran and Lebanon, and added, "There are good ties between the two nations and government and Mr. Berri believed that the two countries' trade ties should be boosted."
Boroujerdi and several other Iranian officials flew to Beirut last week to attend the funeral procession of Lebanon's prominent Shiite cleric, the late Allameh Seyed Mohammad Hossein Fadlallah.
