Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called on foreign powers to leave Middle East region before being expelled by the regional states, Xinhua reported according to the official IRNA news agency.

Referring to the presence of Western forces in Iran's neighboring countries of Iraq and Afghanistan, Ahmadinejad said, " if you do not leave the region on your own, the regional nations will kick you out."

He made the remarks in Savojbolagh of Alborz province, some 70 km west of the capital Tehran, according to the report.

"U.S. army soldiers are a group of oppressed people from Africa and the United States who were deceived by the U.S. officials and came to the army just to earn a living," IRNA quoted Ahmadinejad as saying.

Iran has reiterated that the interference of foreigners is the root cause of tensions and divisions in the region and the foreign forces must leave the region.

Meanwhile, Iranian officials have said that the best way to establish and safeguard a durable security in the Middle East is the cooperation of all regional governments and nations.
