Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad underlined the importance of Iran's ties with Kyrgyzstan, and called for the utilization of the existing capacities to further boost the bilateral relations and cooperation between Tehran and Bishkek, Fars news agency reported.
Speaking at a meeting with the Chief of Staff of Kyrgyzstan's President here in Tehran Sunday, President Ahmadinejad expressed the hope that utilization of the existing capacities would open a new chapter in the two countries' relations.
"There are proper opportunities and outlooks for the expansion of the bilateral ties, which should be utilized," Ahmadinejad noted.
"When increasing cooperation, attention must be paid to both promotion of the level of the bilateral relations and bolstering of the regional and international cooperation," the Iranian president reiterated.
During the meeting, the Kyrgyz official submitted a written message from his country's president to Ahmadinejad and thanked Iran's support for the establishment of stability in the Central Asian country.
"Kyrgyzstan is interested in developing its ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran in all fields within the framework of useful interactions," the official noted.
"Kyrgyzstan is seriously pursuing its cooperation with Iran not only in economic but also in cultural and regional fields," he stated.
