Iranian UN ambassador Mohammad Khazaei criticized the UN and other international bodies for silence on assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists, ISNA reported.

Khazaei in his letter to the UN Chief Ban Ki-moon condemned the inhumane and criminal attack on two Iranian nuclear scientists by terrorist groups which led to martyr of Majid Shahriari some 12 days ago.

Twin explosion in Tehran claimed life of an Iranian nuclear scientist, Shahriari, and left another one Fereidoun Abbasi injured.

Another Iranian physicist Masoud Ali-Mohammadi met a very similar end in a car bomb explosion in Tehran last January which claimed his life as well.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran expects that these organizations denounce terrorist attempts and pave the way for influential steps to eliminate terrorism in all forms," Khazaei said in his letter.

"The political and economic pressures cannot dissuade Iranian nations from nuclear rights and securing such rights although known hands and Zionist chains are carrying out these terrorist attacks to create disturbs and prevent Iranian nation from peaceful nuclear work," Khazaei added.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran does not compromise on its certain rights for peaceful nuclear work."

He also called for Ban Ki-moon to release the letter as document of the UN Security Council and General Assembly.
