Security Minister: Iran does not believe in former Deputy Defense Minister’s murder
Iran does not believe that former Deputy Defense Minister Ali Reza Asghari, kidnapped in 2006, has been killed in an Israeli prison, Fars news agency quotes the Iranian National Security Minister Heidar Moslehi, as saying.
Last week, Acting Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said that Iran has created a committee to investigate the case on Asghari's kidnapping.
During a meeting with the family of the missing official Salehi said that the country's Foreign Ministry has new documents that will be used in the investigated case.
Former Deputy Defense Minister Ali Reza Asghari went missing during his visit to Istanbul in December 2006. Tehran asserts that he was kidnapped by Israeli agents and jailed in Israel.
