Thanks to Foreign Ministry and IRI Embassy's efforts and perseverance, murderer of late Ms. Elham Dashti-Rahmatabadi was finally arrested on Wednesday.
According to IRNA Wednesday night service, the IRI Ministry of Foreign Affairs Information and Media Head Office reported that the arrest was following several meetings with Canadian officials and the summoning of the Canadian charge' daffier, during which the need for faster pursuing of the matter was always stressed.
Dr. Salehi on his first days of service at his new position in a letter to his Canadian counterpart asked for urgent and serious pursuing of the cases of the three murdered Iranians in Canada, IRNA reported.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, too, in accordance with its duties regarding the Iranian citizens abroad, pursued an intensive project both before and after that date.
Finally, the efforts of the Canadian intelligence and police forces in arresting the first culprit of the three murders cases is appreciated and hope is expressed for the continuation of related efforts and the fast implementation of justice.
