Iran's Embassy to Armenia announced in a statement, that a copy of which was made available to IRNA on Sunday, said President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's Armenia visit is aimed to further promote mutual ties and is in response to his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan's visit to Tehran during Nowruz (New Year) vacations, IRNA reported.
He added that during his one-day stay, the president will meet and confer with Sargsyan and certain other Armenian officials.
Protocols for economic cooperation will also be signed by the two sides during the visit.
