The threats made by new US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta against the Islamic Republic are "hollow, Intelligence Minister Heydar Moslehi said Wednesday, IRNA reported.
Speaking to reporters after the Wednesday cabinet session, Moslehi said the US threats have become routine after 32 years and they are in vain.
The new US defense chief Panetta, who is on an official visit to Iraq, claimed on Monday that Washington is "very concerned about Iran and the weapons they're providing to extremists in Iraq."
