Canada turns into major destination for Iranian nurses
Azerbaijan , Baku, August 18 /Trend/
The rate of immigration to Canada among Iranian nurses increased over the past six months, Iranian Nursing Organization Deputy Ahmad Nejatian said today. "Totally 100 Iranian nurses immigrated to Canada during the past six months and they are unlikely to return to Iran after immigration," he said.
Canada is the first immigration destination for Iranian nurses with 47 percent while the UAE attracts 33 percent of immigrants. Australia, the USA and the UK are among other major destinations with suitable conditions for Iranian nurses.
According to Nejatian, women account for 85 percent of the immigrating nurses. Experts believe that the main factors forcing nurses to leave the country are declining conditions of life, working long hours, exhausting work and low salaries.
