The country has mass produced the weapon and says that the success is another example of the country's high defense capability to strengthen its defense potential against threats, ISNA reported.
"The 73-mm rocket is an anti-tank rocket used to annihilate tanks, troop carriers, light armored vehicle, enemy's ammunition depot and fortifications," Iranian Defense Minister said in the opening ceremony.
"The war-head of the rocket hits the targets at a distance of 1,300 meters," he said adding the weapon can be carried by both individual and vehicle.
"The weapon has a leading role in close combat and distant strikes to destroy objects since it is light and easy to be used. It also hits the objects with high precision."
The rocket will be used in ground operations. The rocket has high precision compared to other anti-tank rockets, he added.
