President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in New York on Monday to attend the 66th UN General Assembly session, IRNA reported.
Having arrived in the John F. Kennedy Airport, Iran's permanent envoy to the UN Mohammad Khazaie and a number of Iranians residing in New York welcomed the president.
Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi, Energy Minister Majid Namju, Industries, Mines and Commerce Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari, and the Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare Minister Abdulreza Sheikholeslami accompany President Ahmadinejad in the visit.
Among others in the president's delegation are Vice-President Hamid Baqaie, Presidential Advisor Esfandiar Rahim Mashaie, Vice-President for International Affairs Ali Saeedlu, and Presidential Advisor and Head of the Women and Family Affairs Department at the Presidential Office Maryam Mojtahedzadeh.
The President is to address the UN Assembly session on Thursday to outline Islamic Republic of Iran's stances on international issues.
During his stay in New York, the president is also to meet Iranians residing in the US as well as the US academicians, giving interviews to various US TV stations and media networks.
