Russia and Azerbaijan have announced willingness to be involved in the implementation of the 400-million-dollar Rasht-Astara railway project in north of Iran, Iran Railways representative said.
Abbas Nazari added that the countries are scheduled to hold a meeting within the next month to decide on signing a contract with an international consultation company to start preliminary studies in this regard, Mehr news agency reported.
Construction of a 75-kilometer long railway will hit $400 million, he stressed. The project will be completed in two years, he said.
