Iran ranks 127th among 139 countries in supporting shareholders

Iran has ranked 127th among 139 countries of the world in terms of supporting shareholders, the Iranian National Committee Secretary-General of the International Chamber of Commerce stated.
Mohammad-Mehdi Behkish added that the country stood at 69th place among 139 countries in 2010 in terms competitiveness, the Fars news agency reported.
According to the Global Competitiveness Report 2011-2012, Iran improved its position in the rating by 7 points compared to the last year report and occupied the 62nd place among 142 countries.
According to the report, Iran's competitiveness score rose from 4.1 in the last year to 4.3 in the current year.
The World Economic Forum rates countries competitiveness ratio between 1 (the worst) and 7 (the best) points.
