For the first time, drilling a delineation well will begin before a jacket is attached at Iran's South Pars gas field, Shana News quoted the National Iranian Drilling company (NIDC) representative Mohammad Reza Takaidi as saying.
Stormy weather and high sea had delayed the project. But the NIDC hopes that drilling work will begin this week, Mohammad Reza Takaidi said.
When drilling operations complete, two oil jackets will be attached and drilling will begin on 20 development wells and one evaluation well.
