Those who stand behind the killing of Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan are a threat to the country, Iranian Armed Forces General Staff Deputy Chief Masud Jazairi said, Fars news reported.
Jazairi added that the people who set up the assassination will be punished.
"Iran will reply to this threat with its own threat," Jazairi said.
Jazairi noted that U.S., UK and Israel stand behind the terror attacks, and that Iran's answer will be "irritating" for them.
"Israel, The U.S. and UK must take responsibility for their actions," Jazairi added.
On January 11, an unknown motorcyclist attached a magnetic bomb to the car of the deputy marketing director at Iran's Natanz nuclear facility Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan near a college building of Allameh Tabatabaei University in Tehran.
Ahmadi Roshan was immediately killed and his driver, who had sustained injuries, died a few hours later in a hospital.
The today bombing method was similar to the 2010 terrorist bomb attacks against the then university professor, Fereidoun Abbassi Davani - who is now the head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization - and his colleague Majid Shahriari who were assassinated in separate terrorist bomb attacks here in Tehran with the latter killed immediately after the blast.
Another Iranian university professor and nuclear scientist, Massoud Ali Mohammadi, was also assassinated in a terrorist bomb attack in Tehran in January 2010.
