Iran never starts war against enemy, however in case of being attacked or threatened, its response would be rapid and massive, IRGC Land Force commander Gen. Mohammad Pakpour said on Sunday.

Iran never starts war against enemy, however in case of being attacked or threatened, its response would be rapid and massive, IRGC Land Force commander Gen. Mohammad Pakpour said on Sunday.

According to Fars News Agency, Pakpur said at the opening of Iran's fresh war games in the country's southern region that Iranian forces are preparing to the asymmetric warfare and they can defend country's security.

Iran's Land Forces began war games on Saturday.

The exercises began in the Jahrom area of southern Iran to maintain and strengthen readiness of Land Forces.

Pakpour said Iran held armored drills about a month ago. Current exercises are airborne, called Hamiyan-e vilayet (Supreme Leaders' supporters).
