Iran has added more than 35.2 million tons to its petrochemical production capacity since 2005, by fulfilling the projects in its Fourth Five Year Economic Plan and the first year of its Fifth Five Year plan, Shana news reported.
During its Fourth Five Year Economic Plan, Iran expanded its petrochemical production by 34.5 million tons a year.
This year,Iran's petrochemical production capacity increased by 783 tons with its Arvand Petrochemical complex in production and plans to expand Maron Petrochemical Iran's petrochemical sector within the Fifth Five Year Plan (2011-2015).
