One month before the end of the Iranian year (on March 20), transactions at Iran's mercantile exchange reached 268 trillion rials (almost $22 billion), a 133 per cent jump over the same period last year, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reports.
Trade of metal and industrial goods is up 34 and 32 per cent respectively over the last year, while transactions for agricultural products dropped almost 3.7 per cent.
Petrochemicals and petroleum products saw a 20 per cent increase, while the value of those transactions was 50 per cent more than last year.
