Two bombs were discovered in Iran, during the parliamentary elections, Iran's Prosecutor General Gholam Hossein Mohseni-Ejei said, Mehr reported.

Mohseni-Ejei added that several groups tried to cause chaos and provocations at the elections, and 10 people were arrested as a result.

He added that one bomb was discovered in Tehran, and another one is a different city of Iran. He did not disclose which one. The bombs were found and disarmed before the possible explosion, so no one was hurt.

The 9th parliamentary elections in Iran began on March 2. The elections to Iran's Majlis (parliament) are held every four years. The parliamentary elections of the VIII convocation were held on March 14, 2008. Ali Larijani is the chairman of Majlis.

The first meeting of the Iranian parliament is planned to be held on the seventh date of Khordad month 1391 in Islamic calendar (May 27, 2012).

MPs take an oath before the first meeting of the Parliament. Muslim MPs take an oath on the Koran, the representatives of national minorities take an oath on their holy book. About 48 million people have the right to vote in Iran.
