President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his Nigerian Counterpart Goodluck Jonathan in a telephone conversation late on Wednesday called for enhanced mutual ties, IRNA reported.
On Iran-Nigeria cordial relations, President Ahmadinejad underlined that the ground is properly paved for fostering bilateral cooperation in all areas.
Praising the Nigerian government's stance on developing mutual cooperation, President Ahmadinejad underlined that Iran and Nigeria could play a pivotal role in establishing the new global order.
The Nigerian president, for his part, described the two countries' ties as strong, adding Iran and Nigeria enjoy a lot of commonalities and called for enhanced bilateral cooperation.
